Happy New Year + Resolutions

The year is coming to a close rapidly, and it’s time to say goodbye to 2016 - and hello to 2017. We all know what an awful year it’s been around the globe, but my work has gone from strength to strength so it’s a year I’ll be celebrating.

2016 was my first full year of freelancing (this second time around), and it’s been a lot of fun. It was the year I attended both LFWs, working for magazines and designers to capture their shows. It’s been a huge year for my shoot days, with one massive day at the start of the year and also an LFW tie-in. I’ve seen my Instagram stats grow rapidly, and my style has improved and grown. My shooting MO has crystallised to the point where every model will know exactly what to expect during the shoot. I’ve also made my direction clearer, working with commercial clients in the fashion and beauty sector and saying goodbye to family portraits and weddings forever.

But the year ahead means it’s time to grow more, do better, and achieve higher. With that in mind, I’m setting out my resolutions, or goals, for 2017.

I intend to shoot LFW again, and yes, twice. I’m also looking to start attending LC:M for the first time. I will be organising more shoot days, perhaps even on a larger scale than has already been achieved.

This year I also intend to start work on a project I’ve had in mind for a long time. I’ve been looking for funding from grants which hasn’t yet materialised, but it’s time to stop dragging my heels and put the work in. If you are interested in appearing in a new fine art project please do get in touch - I’m looking for female models who are comfortable with nude or implied nude work.

Do you have goals for your modelling or your photography for 2017? I’d love to hear them - let’s keep each other accountable!
